MAYFLOWER — Faulkner County authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man near Mayflower.
Maj. Andy Shock of the Faulkner County sheriff's office said the man was shot shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday. The victim's name has not been released.
Authorities arrested 43-year-old Audie R. Taylor in the shooting. Shock said Taylor was at the scene and admitted to investigators that he shot the man. The suspected murder weapon also was recovered, Shock said.
A prosecuting attorney is reviewing the case.
