Faulkner County authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man near Mayflower.
Sheriff's Maj. Andy Shock says the man was shot shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday morning. The victim's name has not been released.
Authorities arrested 43-year-old Audie R. Taylor in connection with the shooting. Shock says Taylor was at the scene and admitted to investigators that he shot the man. Shock says the suspected murder weapon also was recovered.
A prosecuting attorney is reviewing the case, but charges have not yet been filed.
