LITTLE ROCK — The Clinton Presidential Center and Heifer International honored more than 200 teachers Aug. 11 with a reception and tours of both facilities.
While sipping mojitos, the teachers got a sneakpeek of the forthcoming events scheduled for the presidential center, including Jewels to Jelly Beans: Treasures From the Presidential Vaults, which opens Sept. 19, and Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection, which opens in February.
The event was designed to encourage educators to take their students on field trips to both facilities.
Each year, thousands of Arkansas students tour both buildings during field trips free of charge.
