WELCOME STUDENTS UALR law school function gets students, families on same page

— The University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law welcomed students and their families during a reception Aug. 16 at the school's downtown campus.

Incoming students participated in classroom discussions as well as a reception hosted by the Pulaski County Bar Association.

Arkansas Lottery Commission Chairman Ray Thornton, a former Arkansas Supreme Court justice, administered the oath of professionalism, a ritual for new students.

Chuck Goldner, dean emeritus and law professor, discussed balancing law school and personal life, while law school Dean John DiPippa talked with the families of law students about how they can be supportive.
