MAYFLOWER — Faulkner County authorities say the man shot to death near Mayflower was 37-year-old Sean Michael Engle of the Cabot area.
Sheriff's Maj. Andy Shock says Engle was shot shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday morning and 43-year-old Audie Taylor was arrested at the scene.
Shock says Taylor admitted to investigators that he shot Engle. Shock says the suspected murder weapon also was recovered.
Faulkner County Coroner Patrick Moore says a prosecuting attorney is reviewing the case and that there are "extenuating circumstances" that he can't discuss.
