MAYFLOWER — A man shot to death early Saturday morning was identified as a 37-year-old resident of the Cabot area, Faulkner County Coroner Patrick Moore said Sunday.
Sean Michael Engle was fatally shot with a .22-caliber pistol, Moore said.
The shooting occurred shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday. Audie R. Taylor, 43, who was arrested at the scene in connection with the shooting, admitted to investigators that he shot Engle, according to Maj. Andy Shock of the Faulkner County sheriff's office.
A prosecuting attorney is reviewing the case. "There are some extenuating circumstances that I'm not at liberty to discuss now," Moore said.
