LITTLE ROCK — Crews working on U.S. 67/167 between Redmond Road in Jacksonville and Arkansas 440 will shift southbound traffic overnight Thursday, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
Weather permitting, the work will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday and be completed by 6 a.m. Friday. Concrete median barriers will separate the northbound and southbound lanes, as all trafficis placed onto the recently completed northbound side, the department said.
Kiewit Southern Construction Co. of Little Rock was awarded a $13.7 million contract in May to widen the southbound lanes ona 1.6-mile section just south of Jacksonville to three lanes.
Motorists should use an alternate route if possible or exercise caution when approaching and traveling through the work zone, the department said.
