CONWAY — The chief of a volunteer fire department in Faulkner County has been arrested on felony forgery and credit card fraud charges.
Hilltop Volunteer Fire Department Chief Donald Lee Wilkins was arrested Monday. Court documents show that charges filed Aug. 17 include an allegation Wilkins forged the signature of Circuit Judge David Clark.
The document doesn't say what was forged.
Wilkins was arrested after he went to the scene of a suspected ATV "chop shop" when authorities requested an agency with a high-volume pump to drain a shallow pond.
