CABOT - Wilma Alice Judkins, 88, of Cabot went to be with the Lord at White County Regional Hospitalon Friday, Aug. 28, 2009. Wilma was born in Newport, Ark., on April 30, 1921. She was preceded in death by her husband O.C. "Curley" Judkins. Wilma was known for her sweet personality and kind words. She loved tocook and send food to her friends, often calling other friends to come and carry the food for her. Wilma was a member of First Baptist Church and her family thanks the church for all they have done for her over the years and all those who came and visited with her after she became homebound. Once homebound, Wilma found enjoyment listening to gospel sermons on the radio.

She is survived by her children: Cleetis (Clet) Judkins of Conway, Orville Judkins of Little Rock, Belva Cook of North Little Rock, Velva French of Little Rock; and three grandchildren, Olivia, Vodi and Austin Cook.

Graveside Services will be 10 a.m.Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. CARLISLE - Roberta Ferrari Allen, 54, died Aug. 26, 2009, of complications of ALS. She was born July 31, 1955, in Stuttgart, Ark., to Audrey and Dr. Victor Ferrari. She graduated from Redlands High School in Redlands, Calif., in 1973. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, Calif. She obtained her Radiological Technology Certificate from San Bernardino County Hospital, San Bernardino, Calif. She had been an ultra-sonographer for 30 years.

Robbie is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Allen of Seattle, Wash.;her parents, Audrey and Dr. Victor Ferrari of Carlisle; brothers, Victor of Carlisle and John of Greers Ferry; nieces, Audrey and River Ferrari of Conway; grandmother, Clara Simpson of Carlisle; and her X-ray family of Baptist Health, Stuttgart.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Carlisle. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in St. Rose Catholic Church parish hall followed by the rosary service at 7 p.m. Arrangements are by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.

CROSSETT - Olivia Belle Watkins Gibbs, age 93, of Crossett, Ark., passed away on Aug. 28, 2009, at Lake Village Health Care Center. She was born on Aug. 11, 1916, in Hamburg, Ark., to her parents, Robert Sidney and Bessie Barham Watkins. Mrs. Gibbs was a homemaker and a member of the 17th-century Colonial Dames, DAR and Magna Charter Dames. One of Mrs. Gibbs' favorite hobbies was creative writing. Many of her pieces were published in Charles Albright's column of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Crossett, having been a Sunday School teacher and member of the Golden Voices. Through volunteering and exercising, she remained active into her 90s. Mrs. Gibbs was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul H. Gibbs; two brothers, Marvin Lee Watkins, William Norwood Watkins; and three sisters, Robbie Watkins, Juanita Watkins Gibson and Barbara Watkins Bevers.

Survivors include one son, Robert Edward Gibbs (Carole) of Prairie Village, Kan.; two daughters, Karen Gibbs Norris (Andy) of Lake Village, Ark., Olivia Gibbs "Libby" Murry (Don) of Wake Forest, N.C.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Staley and Pastor Barry Murry officiating. DES ARC - Elizabeth Ashley Burrow Newton, age 40, of Des Arc died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at White County Medical Center in Searcy. She was born March 21, 1969, to William and Judy Burrow.

She is survived by her husband, Todd Newton; two sons, Kelvin and Kayman Walker; one daughter, Laurel Walker; stepchildren, Lindsey, Morgan and Hayden Newton; one brother, Andy (Shelley) Burrow; and one step-grandchild, Keegan Newton.

HOPE - Mrs. Udell Samuels Lloyd, 93, of Hope, Ark., passed away Friday, Aug. 28, at her home. She was the daughter of Jesse James Samuel and Elizabeth Cummings Samuels. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Steve Lloyd.

He was retired from the Hot Springs Fire Department after 43 years of service and was fire chief from 1989 until 2004. JONESBORO - Elwyn Hall Reuteler departed this planet Aug. 27, 2009. She was the loving wife of Lt.Col. Bruce Reuteler, and the mother of Bruce Douglas Reuteler and Bryan Daniel Reuteler. After traveling halfway around the world with her husband in the U.S. Air Force and volunteering in Air Force Hospitals as an Aide, she decided to enter nursing training upon her husband's retirement. She graduated with the second Nursing Class of Arkansas State University. She became a Public Health Nurse with the Craighead County Health Department upon graduation. For 15 years she enjoyed helping patients, until she suffered injuries in an automobile accident while en route to providing nursing services to patients in Monette. Elwyn was loved by everyone who had the good fortune to come into contact with her.

She is survived by her two sons, Bruce Douglas Reuteler and Bryan Daniel Reuteler, both of Jonesboro; one sister, Dr. Elizabeth Young of Lexington, Ky.; and two sisters-inlaw, Betty Reuteler and Peggy Dowl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Colonel Bruce Reuteler; a brother, Dr. James Hall; and two sisters, Geraldine Renick and Dell Fox.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Jesse Perkins officiating. Burial will be private.

PINE BLUFF - Phebe Ann Searan Barrett Aureli, 84, of Pine Bluff died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 26, 1924, in Little Rock, daughter of Floyd Crockett Searan and Lillian Lavina Kinikin Searan. Mrs. Aureli was reared and received her early education in Stuttgart. She co-owned and operated Unique Cleaners with her first husband, James Herbert Barrett, until they sold the business in 1979.

Mrs. Aureli was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was also a member of the American Red Cross, former member of the Lavender Garden Club and volunteered as a Gray Lady at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, James Herbert Barrett, whom she married April 16, 1942, in Norfolk, Va., and Albert R. Aureli; son, John Michael Barrett; and brother, Floyd Crockett Searan Jr. Survivors include a son, Dr. R. Lester (Teri) Barrett of Jonesboro; three stepsons, Michael (Sharon) Aureli of Mayflower, Greg (Karen) Aureli of Hot Springs and Tommy Aureli of Little Rock; two stepdaughters, Dora Aureli of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Sandra Aureli of Reno, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Lisa Barrett Thompson of Austin, Texas, Betsy Barrett of Washington, D.C., Rhett Barrett of Fayetteville, John Sherrill of Jonesboro, Billy Sherrill of Jonesboro, Jordan Barrett and McKenzie Barrett; and two great-grandchildren.

PINE BLUFF - Rex Nelson Hyatt, 73, of Pine Bluff died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009. He was born Sept. 26, 1935, in Herbine, a son of the late T.A. Hyatt and Elma Holderfield Hyatt. Mr. Hyatt graduated from Rison High School in 1953, and played on the 1950 Rison football State Championship team.

Mr. Hyatt is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Gray Hyatt of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Tonya Gray Hyatt of Reno, Nev., Tammy Hyatt Blaylock of North Little Rock; brother, Lewis Hyatt of McGehee; two granddaughters, Adrienne Blaylock and Audrey Blaylock; and son-in-law Anthony (Tony) Blaylock.

MOUNT DORA, Fla. - Lula "Puggie" Gray Howell of Mount Dora, Fla.(former longtime resident of Little Rock), was born in Little Rock, Ark., to parents, Dr. Alfred Gray and Agnes Ball Gray on June 3, 1916. Puggie resided in Little Rock until June 2000 when she moved to Florida to be closeto her children, Patricia Howell Tate, who lived in Naples and William Max Howell Jr. of Orlando. She lived in Naples near her daughter until 2006 when the three of them moved to Mount Dora, Florida.

While in Little Rock, Puggie was active in the Democratic Women's Club where she held the office of treasurer of the State Democratic Women's Club and later served as vice president and president of the Little Rock unit. She was a past president of the Little Rock Departmental Club and the Women's City Club. She was also a member of the DAR, the DAC and the Arkansas Pioneers.

Puggie is survived by her children, Patricia Howell Tate (Jon) and William Max Howell Jr. (Ferne); two grandchildren, Lori Howell Bly of Orlando and Jon Bassett Tate of Alpharetta, Ga.; and five greatgrandchildren, Hayley Bly, Fuller and Drew Tate, and David and Grant Howell of Laramie, Wyo.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
