— Tebow plan gets Gators' attention

A minor league baseball team put together a promotion around the question "What would Tim Tebow do?" and the University of Florida answered with a cease and desist request.

The Fort Myers Miracle of the advanced Class A Florida State League had dubbed Wednesday night's doubleheader against the St. Lucie Mets "What would Tim Tebow do?" Night. They even planned to feature a Fort Myers construction worker named Tim Tebo attempting to walk on water between innings.

But a little before noon Wednesday, the Miracle received an e-mail from the university advising the team not to use the Gators quarterback's name or likeness, citing NCAA rules that prevent athletes from promoting commercial products or services.

So the promotion was changed to "What would T.T. do?" Night.

The Miracle gave out promise rings to fans and had a jump-pass ceremonial first pitch. They also offered fans wearing Gators gear the chance to win four tickets to the Oct. 17 Florida-Arkansas game in a drawing. Tebo theconstruction worker was a noshow.

The attendance - listed at 1,066 - appeared to be that of a typical Miracle game, the Naples (Fla.) Daily News said.

"We kind of feel special," Miracle media relations director Gary Sharp said. "The University of Florida knows who we are now." Tough game

Cubs right fielder Milton Bradley says his relationship with the city of Chicago has soured and that he faces hatred every day.

"I'm talking about hatred, period," Bradley told MLB.com.

"I'm talking about when I go to eat at a restaurant, I've got to listen to waiters bad-mouthing me at another table, sitting in a restaurant. That's what I'm talking about. Everything."

Still, Bradley said he doesn't regret coming to Chicago and playing for the Cubs.

"I regret that there are idiots in the world, that's what I regret," he said.

Bradley, who's batting .262 with 11 home runs and 35 RBI, signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Cubs in January. He's playing for his seventh team in nine years.

Money for nothing

How hard is it to make $100,000 these days?

According to The Wall Street Journal, it takes:

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger 3.6 snaps.

New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez six pitches in the batter's box.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James 21.2 minutes of playing time.

Golf's Tiger Woods 11.2 holes.

The average American nearly four years.
