WEDDINGS JACLYN NICOLE MCCARTY MATTHEW ALLAN THOMAS

— Marriage vows were exchanged by Jaclyn Nicole McCarty, who goes by Niki, and Matthew Allan Thomas, who goes by Allan, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 in Greene Chapel at Hendrix College in Conway. Thomas Martin officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pat McCarty of Fort Smith. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lester E. Burrow of Little Rock and Georgia McCarty of Maumelle.

Parents of the bridegroom are Lynda Young of Bryant and Matthew Thomas of Little Rock. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Thomas and Kathy Dunaway, all of Russellville, and C.E. Dunaway of Springdale.

Chapel pews were decorated with blue hydrangeas. Music was by organist Ansley Fleming.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an off-the-shoulder gown of white taffeta with a chapel-length train. Her fingertip-length veil was embellished with pearls. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas and white roses.

Elizabeth Marg of Little Rock was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.Robert Tucker Jr. of Little Rock, Emily Burton of Las Vegas and Kaylie Thomas of Bryant, sister of the bridegroom.

They wore knee-length dresses of light blue satin and carried bouquets of blue hydrangeas.

Flower girls were Ella Tucker of Little Rock and Amaris Berwick of Orange, Texas, cousin of the bridegroom.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Alan Weant of Chicago, Rusty Ramsey of Conway, and Dr. Christopher McCarty of Charleston, S.C., brother of the bride.

Guests were seated by Luke Bakke of Little Rock and Patrick Sullivan of Conway.

Buffet tables at a reception in the Arkansas Arts Center were decorated with tall cylindrical vases filled with hydrangeas. Guest tables alternated arrangements of blue and white hydrangeas. Music was by The Joe Vick Trio. Assisting were Sarah Kresse of Little Rock and Sarah Vanderbush of Bentonville.

The bride is a summa cum laude graduate of Hendrix College with a bachelor's degree in politics and an honors graduate of the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she received a juris doctorate. She is a lawyerfor Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Corp.

The bridegroom is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Memphis with a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematical sciences. He is a candidate for a doctorate in applied science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
