TEXARKANA A January trial date has been set for a former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent who faces drug charges.
Law officers arrested 39-year-old Michael Clay Spurlock of Buckner in June. He’s charged with possession of cocaine and simultaneously possessing drugs and firearms.
He’s currently free on $20,000 bail and his attorney says he will plead not guilty.
Officers say Spurlock was arrested after a traffic stop and a short chase. Authorities have said the stop was the result of an ongoing investigation conducted by the Bi-State Narcotics Task Force.
