Sectionals remain a model of versatility

LITTLE ROCK Among seating options, sectionals are the most flexible and provide the biggest bang for the buck, as reported in Saturday’s HomeStyle section.
Sectionals lend a tidy solution to floor plans, minimizing the pieces of furniture required to flesh out places for guests to perch. When the extra seats aren’t needed for company, they’re a lounging magnet.
Today’s models offer not only pull-apart options for the basic elements — chair, sofa or more diminutive love seat — but also may combine chaises, ottomans, recliners and even sleeper sofas, depending on how large a configuration can be accommodated. Some sectionals are quite compact, designed for space-challenged urban condo interiors. But you can still find the enormous ones. There are now plenty of styles and shapes, too. Fabric choices are considerable, ranging from leather to linen.
