Northwest Arkansas can expect freezing temperatures and possibly even a white Christmas, while much of the rest of the state will still be drenched as the rain continues.
There had been no reports of major flooding so far in central Arkansas. The National Weather Service in North Little Rock estimated that parts of central Arkansas could see 2 to 4 inches of rain from the storm system. Also possible are snow flurries and wind gusts reaching 35 mph.
In the northern part of the state, especially near the Missouri and Oklahoma borders, some snow was possible for Thursday.
ArkansasOnline will keep updating through Christmas with the latest weather developments, road closures if there are any, weather-related power failures and accidents and more.
