Snow, floodwaters slowing travel around the state

Flooding problems continued overnight after a record-setting storm that dropped more than 8 inches of rain, officials said this morning.
Residents in parts of northwest Arkansas, meanwhile, awakened to more than 3 inches of snow.
Arkansas State Police in Little Rock said the major remaining problem area from the floodwaters was U.S. 67/167 between Interstate 440 and Redmond Road. Traffic was being detoured around that area before 8 a.m.
In North Little Rock, dispatchers said the area near East 13th Street and Beech Street remained underwater and should be avoided.
Pulaski County dispatchers said they had received a report from a citizen that high water was present at Woodson Lateral Road and Interstate 530.
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department reported ice on roadways in west Arkansas and ice and snow on roadways in the northwest part of the state. Click here for a map detailing the conditions.
Elsewhere in the state, Highway 7 between Interstate 30 and Camden and Highway 79 north of Camden were both still closed this morning because of high water.
