NLR council approves 2010 budget

No layoffs seen; savings on energy contract expected to add to city’s coffers

Without any changes, the North Little Rock City Council on Monday approved a $53.49 million general fund budget for 2010 that will lower residential electric rates by 5 percent while setting aside money for some new expenses.
