LITTLE ROCK Associate Justice Jim Gunter administered the oath of office Monday to 100 House members, including House Speaker Robbie Wills.
Wills entered the chamber to a standing ovation. He was formally nominated by his one-time rival for the post, Rep. David Dunn of Forrest City.
Wills thanked his wife and other relatives - including his parents and grandparents - before addressing lawmakers.
The Democrat from Conway implored lawmakers to "do the right thing" when considering issues such as education, health care and economic development. He called for a House that conducts itself with decorum and dignity.
