Only in Arkansas can they get away with building a coal-burning plant that Arkansans don't want, that produces electricity that Arkansans don't need.
Pretty neat trick by TX and LA to get THEIR power plant built in another state, the residents of which will have to contend with the pollution and diminished quality of life accompanying such.
Being born in AR, and having worked for the AR Gazette (Hillcrest/Paper-route), I am ashamed at the "clean coal" pop-ups that now dominate the ArDemGaz website.
There is no such thing, and there never will be, as clean coal. It is simply Orwellian double-speak. And the ArDemGaz, by aiding and abetting this disaster, has sold out the people of the state of Arkansas.
I hope they save some of that filthy lucre to pass on to their children as they are going to need it to finance their increased healthcare costs caused by all the crap pumped into the atmosphere by this thing for the next thirty or forty years.
