HOT SPRINGS Miss Conway's Outstanding Teen Jordon Fonville was named second runner-up Saturday in the 2009 Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen Pageant held at Horner Hall in Hot Springs. She received a $800 cash scholarship award.
Fonville, 16-year-old daughter of Michael and Donna Henderson of Conway, attends Conway High School.
Her personal platform is "Bullying: It's Real - It's Dangerous - It's Unacceptable." In her onstage question Saturday night, she told judges the work she's done with bullying prevention wouldbe included in September's Seventeen magazine.
She performed a lyrical dance to "Never Alone" for her talent.
Fonville was in the Top 10 at Miss Arkansas' Outstanding Teen pageant last year as Miss Central Arkansas' Outstanding Teen.
Caitlyn Cook, 16-year-old daughter of Dr. Joseph and Mary Cook of Conway, won the preliminary Artistic Expression in Talent Award during the first night of the competition, June 25. Also a student at Conway High School, Cook sang "Art is Calling Me." She won a $100 scholarship.
Savvy Shields of Fayetteville, Miss Heart of the Ozarks Outstanding Teen, won the title of Miss Arkansas' Outstanding Teen 2009 and will compete in the national pageant in August.
