— Baxter County authorities say they have arrested a 58-year-old Bull Shoals woman on a drug charge in connection with a death investigation.

The county sheriff's office says Ruby Daniels surrendered herself on an outstanding warrant for delivery of a controlled substance. Daniels was released on a $5,000 bond and faces a July 24 court date.

According to a court affidavit filed by Arkansas State Police, Daniels received $120 in exchange for providing eight Fentanyl patches to a co-defendant on Jan. 31.

The affidavit says the co-defendant then delivered those patches to Kenneth Williams, who chewed some of the patches and died of a suspected drug overdose on Feb. 1 in the Midway area.

The co-defendant wasn't identified. Authorities say she has been charged but hasn't been arrested.
