These salaries are extravagantly outrageous!!!! What are you legislators thinking? I voted for the lottery but I will not support this kind of atrocity in any way. Did you learn this action from AIG? How do you face your constituents without being embarassed?

I am absolutely appalled at the salaries being paid, the arrogance of Mr. Passailaigue (in effect saying "Arkansans are too stupid to understand this ..."), the good 'ol boy network that is already developing (e.g. bringing all his cronies over from SC), and the ghastly size of the staff proposed (75-88 bureaucratic positions) ... and I'm certain that I'll continue to be more appalled - and embarrassed for Arkansas - as this low-life effort continues.
And to Mr. Passailaigue's comment about God speaking our language, I'm not sure the he, or any of the rest of us, would be prepared to hear what God would have to say about this matter.
I wonder how these Legislators, Commissioners - and Bill Halter - can sleep at night, or, as the previous commenter said, face their constituents.
I hope the people of Arkansas will have the courage to repeal this abomination at the earliest possible point.

Only in Arkansas can the leadership be so stupid that they would let a state this small of a yearly revenue, compared to the other states around us who have a lottery, carry one of the highest salaries for lottery officials. They present these things to our legislature and they just blindly say, "Ohkay" like a bunch of dumb sheep. Actually, there is a lot of people being paid off to keep their mouth shut most likely. I am sick and tired of struggling to keep my business running, taking a cut in pay to do so, and getting threatening letters from the Arkansas DFA demanding payment for $.25 that I "missed" on a report of taxes that I collect for them at no charge. Why do the lottery people get paid to collect the lottery money when I don't get paid to collect taxes. Am I the only idiot out there who sees this oxymoron. Where is Thomas Payne when you need him.
