ROGERS Police have detained what investigators describe as a "person of interest" following a pair of bank robberies.
Rogers police officers say they took a man into custody late Friday afternoon.
There were two employees at First Federal Bank when a man with a pistol entered and demanded money at 3:16 p.m. The man left on foot without getting any money, said Rogers Police Department spokesman Steve Mankin.
The second robbery at Bank of the Ozarks took place at 4:07 p.m. while police were still at First Federal. Mankin says three employees were at that bank and none were injured.
A bag was taken from the Bank of the Ozarks, but Mankin says it was unknown how much, if any, money was taken.
