I am impressed by the expedient performance that our commission demonstrates. People of Arkansas are of course excited to have the opportunity to buy tickets and to see the proceeds start coming in. I don't think however, that the majority of our population realizes that this is a huge and new government business starting from scratch. It must be done right and with the best interest at heart for our state and the populus.

I, one of many, believe that with the leadership of Ray Thornton and the rest of our Lottery Commissioners, Arkansas will have the most ethical and honest lottery possible. And this is not due to their rushing, but due to their diligence. With this in mind our lottery will generate scholorship monies to it's optimum potential.

I look at the $250,000 that others refer to as lost monies per day as rather, we are closer each day to NEW SCHOLORSHIP monies that our state has never had. Please be patient. Good things don't come without hard work and efficiency. Let us applaud our commissioners for their fine and hard work.

An Arkansas Resident.
