Lights over the Lake planned June 27

CONWAY — The Conway Symphony Orchestra will present a concert, followed by fireworks, at Lights Over the Lake on Saturday, June 27, at Beaverfork Park, north of Conway.

The festivities will kick off at 7 p.m. with The Davanzo Family Bluegrass Band. The children of the Davanzo family, ranging in age from 10 to 14, have performed at events across Arkansas and competed in several state and regional bluegrass and fiddle competitions.

Music Director and Conductor Israel Getzov said, "We'll salute our state's history with 'Arkansas Traveler,' and we'll end the program and usher in the fireworks with 'Stars and Stripes Forever.'"

The evening also will include participation by the Conway Fire Department honor guard, remarks from Mayor Tab Townsell, and a musical armed forces salute.
