Slaying suspect has confessed three times, prosecutors say

The Marianna man accused of killing TV news anchor Anne Pressly has "confessed" three times to the slaying, a Pulaski County prosecutor revealed during a court hearing Tuesday.

a perfect reason to have the death penalty nationwide....get rid of this type animal .....we need an express lane for him...instead of waiting years to put him down....only unfortunate he wasnt exterminated after his other rape

Sure sounds like the defense knows what is in the cards for Vance, and are trying to gather everything they can to avoid the death penalty. Problem is - exactly what sort of mitigating evidence could possibly come up to make this brutal rape and murder "less bad"? This was a horrible and ruthless crime, committed by someone with no love for life or others (except possibly for his own neck).
Nothing mitigates Pressley's death. She was murdered as the finish of a horribly brutal and evil act. If the prosecution chooses not to seek the death penalty, they are not seeking justice.
