Local students selected for scholars program

LITTLE ROCK The following students in the River Valley and Ozark area were selected for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's Donaghey Scholars program. They are:
◊Justin Woo of Maumelle, son of Myung-wu Woo and Soonyoung Lee. He is a graduate of Arkansas School for Mathematics, Science and the Arts.
◊Marie Syler of Maumelle, daughter of Darryl Syler and Rhonda Jones Syler. She is a graduate of Little Rock Central High School.
◊Tatiana Riddle of Guy, daughter of Scott and Heidi Riddle. She is a graduate of the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Science, and the Arts.
The Donaghey Scholars Program, the universities tophonors program, includes a generous financial package, an interdisciplinary core curriculum emphasizing critical thinking, primary texts, writing, and discussion; study abroad experiences, and a distinctive learning environment for undergraduate studies.
Joshua Wright, son of Fred and Jana Wright of Maumelle, also has received a $24,000 Academic Achievement Scholarship from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a graduate of Pulaski Oak Grove High School.
