NORTH LITTLE ROCK The Salty Parrot, a barge based restaurant docked in the North Little Rock Maritime area, was partially submerged Thursday morning.
The reason for the leak is not known at this time.
North Little Rock city employees had to cut the barge loose from the Patriot, a tugboat to used for boarding the vessel, to keep it from dragging a second ship into the river.
The water where the Salty Parrot sits is about 10 feet, so it's not expected to completely submerge.
The barge is owned by the city of North Little Rock and leased to the Mississippi Riverboat Co. When in season, the Salty Parrot featured karaoke on Wednesday nights, and live music Thursday through Saturday.
