100 YEARS AGO May 8, 1909 The deed and notice of sale of the property and rights of the Mena and Eastern Arkansas Railroad Company to the Hot Springs, Ouachita, and Mena Railroad Company filed with the secretary of state yesterday may mean the building of the railroad from Hot Springs to Mena, through Black Springs, which has been projected for a number of years, according to railroad men.
