Six of seven shorts in Little Rock Film Festival from UCA

— Six of the seven films playing in the Arkansas Shorts program of the Little Rock Film Festival this week have ties to the University of Central Arkansas. They include Surfacing, written, directed and produced by faculty member Bruce Hutchinson; Memories of Viola, written, directed and produced by faculty member Mike Gunter; What Happened to My Brother, written, directed and produced by Levi Agee, a Master of Fine Arts student; Cosmic Legos, by Gabe Mayhan, UCA alumnus; Home Field Advantage, directed by Graham Gordy, UCA alumnus; and Death of the Reel, written, directed and produced by Benjamin Meade, visiting lecturer at UCA in Fall 2008, featuring a number of UCA students and faculty.

Surfacing, What Happened to My Brother and Death of a Reel will play at 6 p.m. Sunday at Riverdale Cinema, theater seven and 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce. Memories of Viola, Cosmic Legos and Home Field Advantage will play 4 p.m. Saturday at the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and 4:15 p.m. Sunday at Riverdale Cinema, theater eight.
