LITTLE ROCK A Republican Senate candidate in Arkansas under fire for reportedly referring to Sen. Chuck Schumer as "that Jew" says it's possible he may not end up running for the office.
State Sen. Kim Hendren announced last month that he was running for the GOP nomination against U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln, a Democrat. But Hendren hasn't filed any paperwork with federal officials making his candidacy official.
Hendren on Tuesday told The Associated Press that he didn't know when or if he would file paperwork making his candidacy official. Hendren says he hasn't raised or spent any money for his Senate bid.
During an interview with the AP, Hendren would not say whether he considered himself a candidate for the Senate. Hendren last week said he regretted referring to Schumer's Jewish faith during a recent party appearance.

I think it would be a wise decision that he not run.
