Chef takes top honors in cooking challenge

— Executive Chef Adam Hanry of Ozark Conference Center won first place and a gold medal for “Best Dessert” with his standing ice cream cone sundae at the Arkansas Hospitality Association’s 2009 Arkansas Chef Challenge in Little Rock. Hanry also received a silver medal for his appetizer entry, fried pork rinds with a mango mustard sauce.

The Arkansas Hospitality Association hosted the Arkansas’ Chef Challenge as part of the 65th Annual ArkansasHospitality Association Convention and Tradeshow at the State House Convention Center in Little Rock. An estimated 2,500 attended this year’s show.
