Newspeak lives in reform Newspeak is alive and flourishing here in the first decade of the 21st century. Wouldn’t George Orwell be surprised to learn that it is being used effectively not by some commie regime, but by right-wing Republican strategists here in the good old U.S.A.?

RE: Two Definitions Apply
If you truly rely on Fox News for all your information, you are both "ignernt" as well as "ignorant".

RE: Period Coming To An End
"The almost unbroken period of gain and prosperity in the past 30 years is coming to an end."
This writer must be talking about China and India, because most of the gain and prosperity in this country over the last thirty years has gone almost exclusively to the top two tenths of one percent, upper management, and CEOs.
During the same time, though productivity has risen, wages for the middle class have remained flat.
That's the main redistribution of wealth going on- from us to them.
It's like Warren Buffett says:
"There's a class war going on in this country...and we're winning".

Copeland is barely Christian and his message is completely in error. In other words, he is a hack.Only a fool would believe in his false doctrines of Christinity.

RE: Pair merited rewards
People like you thought the same thing about the PTL Club with Jim and Tammy Baker, before the truth came out.

KIM T. MAGINN of Little Rock says:"Now I know why the White House attacked FOX, and I am still an exclusive viewer of the FOX News Network. It’s simple: Obama does not want Americans to see and hear the truth."
This is a excert from Obama's speach on healthcare, notice the last statement about insurance executives.
"And without competition, the price of insurance goes up and quality goes down. And it makes it easier for insurance companies to treat their customers badly -- by cherry-picking the healthiest individuals and trying to drop the sickest, by overcharging small businesses who have no leverage, and by jacking up rates.
*******
Insurance executives don't do this because they're bad people; they do it because it's profitable."
******
I beleive it was the next night that Sean Hannity opened his show with the remark about "Obama calling insurance executives bad people" He and right wingnut Frank Luntz played the video clip of Obama's remarks, and after it was clear that Obama had not said this, these two jerks kept talking about it without commenting that what they had said was not correct.
*****
NOW THIS IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF THE "FAIR AND BALANCED TRUTH"
YOU GET WITH THE FOX NEWS NETWORK, AND THE DITTO HEADS THAT LISTEN AND RELAY THESE FALSE STATEMENTS TO OTHERS THROUGH GOSSIP, RUMORS AND EMAILS.

MARVIN, though I did not indicate so, you assume I rely solely on FOXNews. From what sources do you gather information?
BILL, did you know there is a difference between a 'journalist' and and 'opinionist?' Mr. Hannity is an opinionist. That means he gives his opinion regarding what happens. The term 'journalist' applies to a person telling what happens. You know...news. They do that, too, on FOX. And, seriously, is Hannity all you've got?
BOTH OF YOU, you have no thoughts regarding an American citizen believing the president has a "stash" of money from which can arbitrarily make charitable donations?
And by the way, my letter was censored. The editor omitted my adjective describing 'machinations.' It was TREASONOUS.

Mr. Schmedemann, the Second Ammendment is not about hunting. It is about the right of the people to self defense from would be dictators such as those who currently occupy the White House. It has nothing to do with any "militia." What part of "the right of the people to keep and bear arms 'shall not be infringed' don't you understand? The "militia" referred to are the citizens who keep and bear arms: this right does not come from government, it comes from God.
