PETIT JEAN MOUNTAIN A film about the Buffalo National River will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute as part of the Rockefeller Institute’s Reel Stories Documentary Film and Discussion Series. Admission is free.
The Buffalo Flows tells how federal protection of this natural treasure was the direct result of grassroots efforts to save the buffalo from being dammed. The film is an original documentary of Larry Foley, a professor of journalism at the University of Arkansas.
Reel Stories about Real People, Problems and Possibilities became part of the Rockefeller Institute’s public affairs educational programming in the summer of 2008.
