Agreement reached on sale of Fort Smith hospital

FORT SMITH The Board of Trustees at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith have signed a definitive agreement to sell the hospital to a Florida company.
Terms of the sale to Naples, Florida-based Health Management Associates Inc. were not released. The sale is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
When the sale is complete HMA will be operating 55 hospitals nationwide.
