NLR teacher named 2010 Teacher of the Year

Vandy Nash, a fourth-grade teacher at North Little Rock's Indian Hills Elementary School, is the 2010 Teacher of the Year, Gov. Mike Beebe announced Friday during a ceremony at the Governor's Mansion.
Chosen from 15 finalists, Nash will receive a $15,000 cash award and compete in the 2010 National Teacher of the Year competition.
