Conway schools will host taco supper fundraiser

CONWAY The Conway Public School’s annual La Fiesta Orquesta Dinner, also known as the annual Taco Supper Fundraiser, will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Bob Courtway Middle School. The event benefits the Conway Public Schools orchestra program.
Throughout the evening, orchestras from six Conway campuses will perform pop and classical pieces.
The orchestras performingat the event represent Simon and Ruth Doyle intermediate schools, Bob Courtway and Carl Stuart Middle Schools and the Conway High School East and West campuses.
Along with dining and music, those attending can bid on a variety of items during a silent auction, most donated by local businesses.The Taco Supper is the group’s main fundraiser.
All proceeds go to thegrowing orchestra program that now has more than 270 students under the direction of three staff members.
Orchestra funds provide music scholarships and help with extras, including educational trips to hear nationallyrecognized symphonies.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for a cheese nacho meal for children younger than 12 and may be purchased at the door.
