Mallett, Arkansas’ redshirt sophomore quarterback from Texarkana, completed 23 of 27 passes for 329 yards without an interception as the Razorbacks beat the Gamecocks 33-16 on Saturday.

Mallett’s 85.2 completion percentage set a single-game school record with 20 or more pass attempts. He broke the record of 81.8 percent (18 of 22) set by Ronny South against Texas A&M in 1967.

In Arkansas’ 63-27 victory over Eastern Michigan the previous week, Mallett completed 14 of 16 passes for a school-record 87.5 percent to break the mark of 85.7 (12 of 14) set by Billy Moore against Tulsa in 1962.
