Dazzle Daze 2009 scheduled Thursday through Saturday

CONWAY — Dazzle Daze 2009 will be held Thursday through Saturday at Conway Sports Center at the Don Owen Recreation Complex on Lower Ridge Road in Conway.

This event is the annual fundraiser for the Conway Regional Women’s Council. It is a three-day holiday shopping extravaganza featuring a variety of specialty shopping at one location for people of all ages.

Approximately 80 merchants will offer gift items, gourmet food, home and holiday items, jewelry, clothing, collectibles, children’s items and more.

Shoppers can choose from several special events including Girls’ Nite Out, Breakfast with the Clauses, children’s choir performances and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Tickets for general shopping are $5 for adults; $4, seniors;

and free for children under 12.

Hours for general shopping are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets for Girls’ Nite Out, set for 6-9 p.m. Thursday, are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

A limited number of tickets are available. This event will feature door prizes, appetizers from local restaurants and entertainment by the Rodney Block Trio. “Chicks Who Click” girlfriend photo opportunities with Donna Evans Photography will be available.

A drawing for jewelry from Fletcher Smith’s Jewelry will be held at 9.

Tickets for Breakfast withthe Clauses, set for 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday, are $25 for a combo ticket that includes admission for one adult and one child and a $12 photo package from Donna Evans Photography. Additional kids may be added to the combo ticket for $5 each; additional adults, $10 each. Tickets are limited for this event. Breakfast with the Clauses tickets are only available by calling the Conway Regional Health Foundation office at (501) 513-5778.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Conway Regional’s programs and community outreach specifically for seniors and children.

Raffle drawings will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday. Participants need not be present to win but must be 18 or older to participate. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes. A raffle ticket stub is good for admission into general shopping on Friday or Saturday. Tickets are $100 donation per ticket, limited to 500 tickets sold.

Grand prize for the raffle is a 2010 Ford Mustang convertible from Smith Ford-Mercury valued at more than $31,000.

Additional raffle prizes are:

◊Second prize, a liquid facelift and skin rejuvenation spa package valued at $4,000,donated by Cosmetic Laser Solutions.

◊Third prize, a Sony 40-inch flat panel TV valued at $1,200, donated by DeBoard Electronics.

◊Fourth prize, a Hewlett-Packard laptop package valued at $1,000.

◊Fifth prize, a $500 gift certificate donated by Cajun Brothers Furniture.

One “golden” ticket will be auctioned off at noon Saturday. The auction winner is guaranteed to win one of the five prizes.
