Harding Jazz Band to perform with professional pianist

SEARCY The Harding University Jazz Band will perform with internationally recognized jazz pianist Bill Carrothers at the annual fall concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Administration Auditorium.
Carrothers has played concerts around the world throughout his 30-year career as a professional pianist. He has been the leader of 17 critically acclaimed recordings such as “The Artful Dodger,” “Civil War Diaries,” “Home Row” and “Joy Springs.”
Carrothers will be the featured soloist at the concert and will perform three pieces with the jazz band and three pieces with a small group of students. He will use several of his original works while featured on the keyboard.
