RUSSELLVILLE The Arkansas River Valley Arts Center will host its Holiday Jubilee at 7 p.m. Friday at the Russellville Country Club. Tickets or reservations are available at the Arts Center, 1001 E. B St., or from any member of the Board of Directors. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (479) 968-2452.
“We are concentrating on the performing and visual arts this year, which is one of the aspects that sets Holiday Jubilee apart from other fundraisers and are a visible symbol of Russellville as a vital art community,” Board President Dennis Overman said.
Jazz Reunion will provide entertainment along with Holly Gale and Emory Moliter, Keely Futterer and Jonathan Ray.
Half a dozen paintings will be sold under the direction of auctioneer Clayton Williams. Sarah Keathley, 2009 River Valley Artist of the Year, has painted “Christmas Angel” especially for Holiday Jubilee. This, along with paintings by Doyle Young and Lee Rogers, pottery by Winston Taylor and a couple of other pieces still pending, will round out the live auction devoted solely to visual art.
Dozens of miniature paintings from accomplished and well-known artists will be on exhibit for silent auction bidding along with a few other unique items.
The “Artistic” Dinner Parties hosted each month by two or more members of the Arts Center’s Board of Directors will be offered again. Each of the dinner parties will involve art, music, pottery, dance or some other art form.
