— Ouachita Baptist University’s Opera Theatre will stage Giacomo Puccini’s one act opera Gianni Schicchi in Italian with English supertitles at 7:30 p.m. today-Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Jones Performing Arts Center at OBU in Arkadelphia. The University of Arkansas at Monticello Concert and Chamber Choirs will give a concert at 7:30 p.m. today in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium at UAM in Monticello. The Chamber Choir will perform works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and a set of folk-song arrangements. The Concert Choir will perform portions of George Frideric Handel’s oratorio Messiah. Organist David Higgs will play works by Leo Sowerby, Johann Christian Kittel, Cesar Franck, Joseph Bonnet, Felix Mendelssohn, Sigfrid Karg-Elert and Franz Liszt for the Central Arkansas Chapter of the American Guild of Organists’ third annual benefit for Arkansas Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Injury Prevention Program, 8 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Eighth and Scott streets, Little Rock. Murder and an Egyptian curse are among the guests at a dinner party hosted by the wife of one of the discoverers of King Tut’s tomb in Little Rock Tours’ murder-mystery dinner theater show Phantom of the Pharaoh at 6:15 p.m. Friday at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History in MacArthur Park, Ninth and Commerce streets, Little Rock. Internationally prominent jazz pianist Bill Carrothers will join the Harding University Jazz Band for its annual fall concert, 7 p.m. today in the Administration Auditorium at Harding in Searcy.
