Fight health bill, ex-Clinton adviser urges

The health-care overhaul bill being considered in the U.S. Senate is “the most serious threat to our lives and our liberties we Americans have faced since World War II,” former Clinton adviser Dick Morris told about 250 Arkansans who rallied against the legislation.

The group gathered Thursday on the Capitol steps in front of a “Hands Off Our Healthcare” tour bus. The initiative to block the bill is sponsored by Americans for Prosperity, a national public policy group that says it advocates for limited government and free markets.

Sen Lincoln thinks you are stupid.
She will vote to cut off debate and then 'vote' against the bill. In truth when debate is cut off the bill needs only 50 votes plus the vice president. It is a 'trick for the stupid little people' back home.
See, 'I voted against it Mike Ross" and the real vote will be on a SATURDAY when you can not contact them, and with ONLY 10 HOURS of debate. Think about this, Sen Lincoln will vote for ending debate and a vote on a 2.5 trillion dollar bill which will increase your taxes and take away your private health care choices after 10 hours.
SHE takes more time picking out a lipstick color.
Well this pig, if the vote comes in this way won't be able to hide behind the lipstick and I will make sure the public knows this at EVERY FORUM IN ARK and public event she and Pryor attend.
If you are stupid, she will be happy to share her lipstick...

Until 1996, reconciliation was limited to deficit reduction, but in 1996 the Senate's Republican majority adopted a precedent to apply reconciliation to any legislation affecting the budget, even legislation that would increase the deficit.[3]
Under the administration of President George W. Bush Congress used reconciliation to enact three major tax cuts. These tax cuts were set to lapse after 10 years to satisfy the Byrd Rule. Efforts to use reconciliation to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling failed.

With their votes they must think pretty d@@@ stupid.

As the CBO analysis indicates, the bill's real 10-year costs would start in 2014. And in its true first decade (2014 to 2023), the CBO projects the bill's costs to be $1.8 trillion -- double the price Reid is advertising.
And that's even though the CBO optimistically assumes the government-run "public option" wouldn't cost a cent.
Over this same 10-year span, the bill would hike taxes and fines by $892 billion -- more than the alleged price of the bill.
