Ward man arrested on drug charges

Authorities arrested a Ward man Friday after a search of his property revealed drugs, guns and paraphernalia, according to a report.

Alex Reaves, 51, was found by officers sitting in his truck. According to a news release by the sheriff's office, Reaves hande over a bag containing what was suspected to be marijuana.

Officers then discovered an methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and three rifles in the truck.

Further investigation on the property uncovered chemicals, glassware, components and paraphernalia utilized to manufacture methamphetamine inside a residence and inside an adjacent mobile home.

Reaves was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance,possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug premise and possession of firearms by certain persons.

Additionally, an untagged buck deer was found on the property. Reaves received a citation for failure to tag a deer.
