— The mother of one of the three 8-year-olds killed more than 15 years ago in West Memphis says she believes the men convicted in the crime are innocent.

Pam Hobbs, the mother of victim Stevie Branch, tells Little Rock television station KTHV that she doesn't think Jason Baldwin, Jessie Misskelley and Damien Echols killed her son and his two friends, Christopher Byers and Michael Moore.

Hobbs was in Jonesboro on Thursday at a court hearing for Misskelley and Baldwin, who are seeking new trials.

Prosecutors are expected to call medical examiners to rebut defense claims that the two men are innocent, likely finishing the hearings Friday. Special Judge David Burnett already rejected an appeal by Echols, who was sentenced to death row over the killings.
