Report to list state's troubled schools

The Arkansas Department of Education is releasing its annual Average Yearly Progress report on the public schools that are struggling academically.
The ones with chronic problems will get extra help from the state, which has developed a new way to help academically struggling schools: The state will have improvement specialists focus more specifically on a particular school’s problem in an attempt to improve academic performance.
Last year, 375 schools were on the list.
