The National Weather Service says large trees blown down Friday morning in south Arkansas were felled by winds that likely reached speeds of 75 mph.

The agency said in a news release that its survey included parts of Dallas and Calhoun counties, focusing on the cities of Hampton, Thornton, Woodberry and Fordyce.

According to the release, no tornado damage was identified in the survey.

Several buildings at Hampton High School sustained roof damage, the agency said, and debris was blown onto the nearby football field.
