— Police arrested an Arkansas man accused of molesting a 12-year-old girl who recently moved to Alaska.

Anchorage police Lt. Dave Parker says 52-year-old Mark LeVrier of Quitman, Ark., helped a family move to the state last month and “did something to the child” on the long drive. Parker says the girl did not report the incident until she arrived in Anchorage.

LeVrier, who uses a wheelchair, has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor and is being held at the Anchorage jail on $50,000 bail.

Police say there might be other victims in Texas, where LeVrier worked for many years in child protective services.
