Removal of Bryant-Bauxite span needs road closure

BRYANT — State highway officials say motorists accustomed to using Arkansas 183 to travel between Bryant and Bauxite in Saline County will need to find another route overnight.
A news release from the state Highway and Transportation Department said the highway would be closed Wednesday evening about 6 p.m. so workers can remove an old railroad bridge. The highway should reopen about 6 a.m. Thursday, the release said.
The agency said detour signs will be put in place to direct traffic around the work site.
