Mud Run to get down and dirty Saturday
This article was published October 22, 2009 at 5:24 p.m.
Created for those who think a little differently about this runnin' stuff. The 7th running of the Mud Run is for the adventuresome spirit. You can run, walk, skip, or trot through our cross-country 5K-ish (3.1-ish miles) course, which winds through the scenic trails of Two Rivers Park. You will have to overcome an “obstacle” (obstacles in the past have been tire obstacle, human maze, giant hay bales - it's not hard - we promise - wink wink nudge nudge) along the way, and then finish with a spectacular frolic through our world-renowned 300-foot mud pit (affectionately know as “The Pit”) filled with rich Arkansas mud.
The point is not to finish fast, but to finish with style. The Mud Run is a project of and benefits Little Rock Parks & Recreation. For more information go to www.mudrun.org.
