22 Malaysia children feared drowned in river

An official says 22 Malaysian schoolchildren are feared drowned after they fell into a river when a bridge they were walking on collapsed.

Zambry Abdul Kadir, the chief minister of northern Perak state, says police, firefighters and emergency services personnel are scouring the river after the students went missing late Monday.

The national news agency Bernama says the students were under 13 years old and were on a camping trip.
